Hello gorgeous readers! How excited are you about the first of March? I'm so glad this day finally came. It's already getting warmer and we had a sunny, beautiful day. Yay for spring! I don't have a spring manicure to show you today, just because I already posted one a few days ago. But I do have my favorite, a gorgeous blue polish.
|Golden Rose matte velvet 103, indoors, artificial light|
I already posted about the Golden Rose matte line here. This is a matte velvet so that means shimmer! It's my favorite combination (shimmer with a matte finish). I've seen that there aren't a lot of swatches of these online and a lot of people are looking them up on Google, so the sooner I post this the better. Traci also posted some beautiful swatches of 101 last week and you can check them out here.
103 is one of the 10 shades in this collection. They range from blue to red and purple to grey. There's also a gorgeous teal that I'm planning to get. This one is a medium blue. All the shades contain shimmer and dry to a matte finish (of course). Application is great. It does need 2 coats but it glides on like butter. Such a pleasure to apply!
This polish doesn't dry as fast as expected from a matte. I kept bumping it on stuff and denting it while I was doing my cleaning. But it's all worth it because the shimmer in this is amazing! I was surprised that unlike other mattes, this stays on much better. I'm used to mattes chipping on the very first day of wear but this stayed on pretty well for about 3 days. I removed it because I wanted to change color but it was still looking great.
I'm really glad I got this. It runs on the pricier side for a GR (around 4$ or 3 euros), but it's totally worth it. I just hope I will find the teal one as these are selling very fast. What can I say? I love mattes! Do you?
