Hello my lovelies! It's Friday so I have a fun nail polish to show you today. Who doesn't love holographic polish? I know I'm a fan! I was very excited to see that the Born Pretty Store started carrying holo nail polish and naturally I had to try one. The color I picked is a deep and beautiful shade of teal green*. Let's take a look!
I usually take my pictures indoors but this time I took advantage of the sun to take some proper pictures of the holo effect. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the linear holo shows up in this polish. I probably own one or two polishes with a stronger holographic effect but all in all this is a great one.
The polish comes in a 6 ml (0.2 Fl. Oz.) bottle, which is kinda small for the price. The brush is surprisingly large for the size of the bottle, so I had a bit of trouble with the application around the cuticle line. The formula is very nice and 2 coats are necessary to get a flawless result. Drying time is a medium one so I added a top coat to make it dry faster. Here's how it looks in artificial light.
What I love about this polish, beside the holo effect, is the way it looks when it's not in direct light. A lot of holo polishes look like a foil when in dim lighting, but this one looks like a pretty dark green shimmer. It's similar to A-england Saint George but it's lighter and more holographic than that one.
If you like this polish you can find it here. There are also lots of nail art goodies on the website so make sure you check it out. Don't forget to use code MFL91 for an extra 10% off at checkout. Shipping is free!
