April favorites and haul

Hello my lovelies! We're already one day into May so it was high time for me to post a recap of last month. April hasn't been a great month in terms of nail art for me. I've been wearing a lot of plain manicures and even when I did do nail art it was quite simple. I managed to gather 4 favorite manicures for you but they are not my finest work, I must admit it. I hope May will bring more patience my way.

April favorites

Last week I did a fimo review and created a butterfly manicure that I liked a lot. I also did some silver nail art over a great neon polish called Petal to the Metal. Earlier last month I posted a very elegant bling manicure and I also created my first waterfall manicure ever, using blue polishes from Golden Rose.

I've gotten a few more polishes this month compared to the last ones, but it's still not as much as I used to buy last year. I guess my collection is now big enough that it makes me evaluate every purchase in order to reduce the number of dupes. First I'm gonna show you a purchase I'm really excited about. I finally got some Real Techniques makeup brushes. We had a beauty expo in town and while there weren't a lot of interesting polishes over there I did manage to buy this brush set. The flowery background in the photo is a skirt I got that same day from New Look.

A few weeks ago I ordered some polishes for a friend and couldn't stay away so I got these two for myself.

China Glaze Petal to the Metal and Orly Pretty Ugly
I finally placed an order with Asos that wasn't something different than clothes. These are the lovely British polishes I got. Swatches coming soon!

Models Own Banana Split and Swan, Barry M Sugar Apple and Huckleberry
Finally, I ordered some makeup from Beauty Joint for a friend and had to add some polishes to the cart. I ended up with these pretties.

China Glaze Creative Fantasy, Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink and Pacific Blue
That is all for April. I wish you all a sunny and happy month of May!

  1. I quite like those simple manicures you created this month. Great favorites! Nice little haul. Some fun colors for you to play with. I haven't bought polishes in quite a while myself.

  2. Looks like April was fun! I like the simpler mani's. They are easier for others to recreate and don't take too much time for those of us who don't do nail art full time! :D
