Monday Blues: Dry Brush Nails

Hello my lovelies! I will be still on vacation when this post goes up, so I thought I would show you the manicure I created for that. I decided to try a technique that I haven't tried before and ended up loving it. This is one that I was never excited to try out because it didn't seem that great to me. The lessons is that you have to try everything at least once to know how you feel about it. Otherwise you might be missing out on something great. Like these nails for example.

I don't know about you but looking at these pictures instantly puts me in a good mood. The colors play a crucial role in that but I think that this would look great in any color scheme. I only used polishes from the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine line because lately I find it easier to match up polishes from the same brand than look through all my drawers every time. Luckily, I have a ton of Barry M polishes so it was easy to pick out some that would go together.

I started with a base of Huckleberry (light blue) and then used the dry brush technique to apply Prickly Pear (lilac), Blueberry (cornflower blue) and Blue Plum (dark blue). It's so easy and the result is so great. It doesn't need a lot of cleanup either. I then stamped an image from plate Fashionista 04 from MoYou London using a black stamping polish from the Born Pretty Store. The black stamping blends in nicely with the pattern underneath but can still be seen clearly from up close.

I'm so happy with this manicure! It is for sure my favorite manicure of July even though it's already August as I'm posting it. I wish you all an amazing summer and if you are off on holiday like me, have a happy one! Make sure you check out the rest of today's Monday Blues in the links below!

Have a great week!
