Monday Blues: Summer Dreaming

Hello my lovelies! Where did the weekend go? I swear I have no idea where mine went and I miss it a lot. So Saturday was the first day of summer, which means that it's officially beach season. I don't know about you but I very much need a vacation. Unfortunately, I still have a month to go until I get one, so I decided to paint the sea on my nails. I wore this manicure for several days last week and enjoyed it a lot.

I started with a base of Sephora Curacao, a polish that was a gift from my friend Kinga. Curacao is a slightly muted teal that leans more blue than green. It didn't photograph accurately at all so I had to alter the photos quite a bit for them to look like the real deal. This beautiful creme is so pigmented that it only takes one coat to make it opaque. I feared there would be issues with staining since it's so pigmented but I had no issues at all. Of course I used a base coat like I always do.

I decided to use Orly Rage again for the stamping since it stamped so well when I used it for last week's manicure. I picked an image from plate CH38 that has some beautiful seashells on it. It instantly reminded me of summer and went so well with the base color.

I hope I managed to bring the beach into your life for a moment with this manicure. Make sure you check out the other Monday Blues of this month if you haven't already!
