Monday Blues: Abstract Flowers

Hello my lovelies! It's Monday, I'm on vacation and the weather is gorgeous. What more can I want from life? This past weekend has been Easter weekend in my country so I apologize for the lack of posts. I do have the whole week off though and quite a few manicures to show you so please expect a lot of posts in the next days. Today's post is all about my Easter manicure. I always feel the urge to wear yellow on this holiday but since it always stains my nails I decided to just add it over a blue base because blue and yellow go well together. So there you have it!

As a base for this manicure I used a polish that I borrowed from my friend Kinga. It's called Sally Hansen Barracuda from the Complete Salon Manicure line. It's a pastel baby blue that looks even warmer in real life compared to my pictures. It's a lovely color and perfect for spring.

The polishes from this collection have a nice formula and this one was no exception. It covered nicely with two coats and dried pretty fast. I added some flowers using a dotting tool and two shades of yellow: Models Own Banana Split and Color Club Look, Don't Tusk. The dots kinda melted together, especially after I added top coat, so it's pretty hard to see that these are flowers. I still like them even though they are more on the abstract side.

I really hope that these nails cheered you up. And if you are at work today, I hope they helped take those Monday Blues away. For more lovely blue manicures check out the links below!

Have a great week!
