Flower Wallpaper

Hello my lovelies! I don't know about you, but I'm so glad it's the weekend. This week has been pretty stressful for me. The fact that it's raining and freezing outside is bringing me down but I'm still glad that I don't have to go to work. Instead I'm gonna show you a manicure from a couple of weeks ago that turned out to be pretty controversial. Here it is!

These nails look pretty unusual so let me explain the idea behind them. I started with a black base and stamped a flower image with white on top. I really wanted some big flowers to be able to color them in. I chose an image from plate BP-L008 from the Born Pretty Store, but the flower on it was so big that it almost covered my entire nail. You can see it looked much better on my thumb where there was more space for the entire image to fit.

Anyway, I used my homemade sheer tints to color them. I loved the fact that the big flowers allowed me to use multiple colors on just one flower. It really gives dimension to them, even though it's not quite visible in the photos. I liked these nails because they give sort of a vintage wallpaper feeling. Some people liked them and some didn't. But I guess you can't please everyone.

Please let me know what you think of these nails. Don't forget that you can use code MFL91 to get 10% off your Born Pretty Store order. Have a really amazing weekend!
