Hello my lovelies and happy Sunday! I've got something fun to show you today. I love nail polish in general, but if you can play with it it's even better. Of course glow in the dark polish sounds great. The Born Pretty Store has tons of fun colors, so I chose this turquoise one to try out.
|Born Pretty glow in the dark nail polish*|
The polish comes in a 7 ml bottle and you can find it here. There are 10 colors available, the one I chose was number 6, a lovely bright turquoise creme. Here's how it looks in normal light.
The formula of this polish is good, but it's a little sheer so it needs 3 coats to become opaque. Application was very easy as it went on like butter. It dries to a semi-matte finish, so top coat is necessary to make it shiny. The glow in the dark effect is great, you just have to "charge" it for a few seconds under a lamp and then you can turn off the light and have fun.
It's the first time I take pictures in the dark and I must say that I was a little nervous, but everything went fine. This was very easy to photograph. The glow in the dark effect is really cool! After wearing this for a day by itself, I decided to create some nail art on top.
I used crafting scissors to cut some tape pieces and then created these chevrons with p2 Wild Miss. The colors looked really great together. Of course now the glow in the dark effect was even cooler because it was in the form of chevrons.
I had lots of fun with this polish! The fact that I also love the color is always a plus. There are tons of colors to choose from and the price is really low, so you are welcome to try these out if you feel tempted (you can find them here). Don't forget to use code MFL91 at checkout! Shipping is always free.
