Purple Chevrons

Hello my lovelies! What are you up to on this beautiful Wednesday? I'm still enjoying my holiday and trying to get as much rest as possible before the week is over. I went through my blog folder the other day and realized I have a ton of manicures that I haven't showed you yet. Some of them are really old like the one I'm showing you today. I created it months ago and didn't share it back then because it looked like Easter eggs and it wasn't the season for that. But now that spring is in full swing I think it's just right.

These nails were pretty easy to create using tape and some crafting scissors. They do require a bit of time because you have to wait between layers but I think it's totally worth it in the end. I started with a base of Flormar WL04 which is almost identical to the famous OPI You're Such a Budapest. I added Seche Vite on top and let it dry for a good 20 minutes.

After it was dry, I masked the middle of the nail with a thick chevron made out of tape. I painted with Illamasqua Jo'Mina near the cuticle and with China Glaze Grape Pop at the tips. I did this one nail at a time and quickly removed the tape before the polishes were dry. I then finished everything with a coat of Seche Vite.

This manicure is perfect for spring and for any purple lover out there. I'm a big fan of chevrons so this was right up my alley. Let me know in the comment section if you like it too!
