Monday Blues: Water Bubbles

Hello my lovelies! Where did the weekend go? I swear that just a few hours ago it was Friday. I'm not very happy that it's Monday, but at least I'm done with work today and it wasn't that bad. It's finally time for me to show you another blue manicure. I swear I have no idea how I got the idea of making water bubbles on my nails. It was there and I went with it. Take a look!

I started with a very subtle gradient using 3 colors. I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as a base and then near the cuticle. The other two shades are Illamasqua Caress and Barry M Huckleberry from the Gelly Hi-Shine collection. The difference between them is really subtle but that created an even better gradient.

I used acrylic paints and a thin nail art brush to freehand the bubbles. I know that some of them don't look that great but I was in a hurry. I did want them to look like cartoon bubbles though and I think I achieved that effect. I really need to do more freehand manicures because I enjoy it a lot.

This manicure was quite fun to wear. I hope you like it too! Don't forget that you can check out the rest of this month's Monday Blues in the links below!

Have a great week!
