Monday Blues: Thermal Bicycles

Hello my lovelies! Long time, no post. I haven't been feeling well in the past week so blogging has been on the back burner. I couldn't miss the Monday Blues though, even though it's really late in the day as I'm writing this post. Today I have a thermal polish to show you and a cute manicure I did with it. I must admit that this polish was kind of disappointing for me because I expected more from it. It's supposed to show 3 colors, like my beloved Dance Legend Termo Trio 1, but in fact there are only two visible on the nail. Here's what I'm talking about.

Basically, this polish goes from a grey blue when it's warm to a light purple when it's cold. I'm not sure what the third color should be, probably something intermediate, but the fact is that these two colors are pretty close, so close that the difference is even hard to capture on camera. My nails were short when I took these pictures, so I used cold water to make the shift and took the pictures before the tips got warm. The difference is a bit more evident in real life than it comes out in pictures.

Application was a bit tricky because this is kind of a sheer polish, which means it needs 3 coats to get opaque. It does dry quite fast so it's not such an issue. I stamped some vintage bicycles from plate JQ-L18 from Lady Queen using Mundo de Unas Black on top. I think it looks quite cute on short nails. Here's a shot of my thumb in a different color compared to my other fingers.

Even though this polish wasn't what I expected, I still had fun wearing it. If you are interested in getting this Born Pretty thermal polish you can check it out here. Don't forget that you can see more Monday Blues by clicking the links below!

Have a great week!
