Monday Blues: Marble Decals

Hello my lovelies! It's Monday but it's a holiday in my country so nobody is working today. I'm really sorry for those of you that went to work today. I'm gonna try to take your Monday Blues away with some nail art over a beautiful sky blue polish. The result isn't perfect but I'm still happy with how it came out. Take a look!

For this nail art I used some nail vinyls from the Born Pretty Store. They come in a sheet of 9 pieces with 3 different geometrical patterns (direct link here). They are not made to be used for a full manicure because there are only 3 vinyls of each pattern but they are perfect for making decals because you can reuse them and there's great variation in the sheet. I used the middle pattern to create these nails.

I only used China Glaze blue cremes for this. The base color is Bahamian Escape, a gorgeous creme that applies like a dream. I used Flyin' High and First Mate to create the decals with a method that I first learned from Ohmygoshpolish on YouTube. I went for a marble between the two colors so I applied them randomly over the decal before scraping. I only did two nails on each hand because decal application is hard work and takes a lot of time. Unfortunately I had a bit of bubbling from the top coat I used for the decals so I apologize for the bubbles you see.

I'm very happy that my nails are longer again and I quite like how this nail art came out. These colors make me happy and are perfect for summer. Hope you like them too! Make sure you check out the rest of the Monday Blues in the links below!

Have a great week!
