Monday Blues: Leaves

Hello my lovelies! It seems that the cold is giving us a few days off, at least where I live. I am not a big fan of autumn so this is great news for me. I know a lot of people love this season, so I must be the only one who doesn't like it. I just hate cold weather and rain. Last week, in the hope of feeling a little better about the weather outside, I created some nails inspired by fall leaves. I wore them for a whole week and enjoyed them quite a lot. Here they are!

As a base, I went for a dark blue shimmer that reminds me a lot of the cold season. It's an older polish from Catrice called George Blueney, that I haven't used in a really long time. The Catrice polishes, especially the shimmers, tend to chip pretty quickly on me so I was pretty nervous that this wouldn't wear well. It did wear off at the tips and chipped at the end of the week but it didn't look that bad after all.

For the stamping I chose a leaf image from plate BP-L024 from the Born Pretty Store, that was on my mind for a really long time. I think it's the perfect fall image and the leaves are beautiful. I stamped using China Glaze Passion, my favorite gold for stamping.

With my nails still on the short side I prefer darker colors to make my fingers look longer. This manicure was just right for that. I hope that you are enjoying autumn more than I am. Don't forget to check out the rest of this month's Monday Blues by clicking the links below!

Have a great week!
