Where In The World Challenge: Madagascar

Hello my lovelies and happy Sunday! As promised, I'm back with another nail art post today. Three countries are all I have left from the Where In The World challenge, so I'm finally gonna finish it this month. I'm not proud of myself for stretching this challenge out over a year, but I guess the fact that you can go at your own pace didn't pressure me enough to post more regularly. I'm still proud of myself for not quitting and for almost finishing this. Today we are travelling to Madagascar!

Madagascar was a pretty hard country (I guess I said that about a lot of countries) and I figured since it's a pretty exotic island, I should seek inspiration in the nature. I found this cool website where you can see pictures of wildlife from all over the island, with a map that shows where exactly on the island they spotted the different animals. I browsed through some of the pictures and chose one of this beautiful yellow and blue butterfly. I wanted to do some butterfly wing nails for a long time so it was the perfect opportunity.

For this manicure I started with a white base and then did a sponged gradient on the diagonal using China Glaze Lemon Fizz and Secret Peri-wink-le. I then stamped the butterfly wings from Nailz Craze plate NC01 using Konad Black. I know people usually put little white dots on the side of the wings but my butterfly didn't have any so I left it like this.

I was absolutely in love with this manicure! The colors are beautiful and go well together, and the stamping makes it extra special. I can't wait to play with this image some more! If you wanna see the rest of the Madagascar manicures, check out the links below!

Thanks for stopping by!

cute! I love the gradient wings :) also I'm so glad someone made a butterfly wing stamping plate... I've tried to draw it freehand so many times and just taken it off in frustration! lol

  7. Thank you! Yeah, I know what you mean. I've tried it too before and it was a total fail. There's also one in the new Bundle Monster set. Looks a bit different though and I prefer this one.
