Hello my lovelies! Saturday means another theme from the TPA Group Challenge and this week we had to get inspired by tattoos. I wasn't in the mood to use a nude base because I feel I've been doing plenty of neutral manicures lately, so I decided to go for red and black. I feel that this color combination really goes with the rock chick tattoo kind of look. I also did a studded accent nail to spice it up a bit.
I know that the accent nail has nothing to do with tattoos, but I've been meaning to use this kind of beads since forever. I have a whole box of different colored ones and haven't used them at all. This seemed like the perfect opportunity so I went for it. I really like the edgy look of that nail.
My base color was a red from Rapsodi that I had totally forgotten about. Every time I want to do a red look I reach for the same polishes, so this time I decided to go with Rapsodi 326, a very inexpensive cool toned red crelly. For the stamping I used Konad Black and a few different images that reminded me of tattoos. For the index and middle fingers I used Nailz Craze plate NC06, which is also called "the tattoo plate". I really love some of the images on this plate but some of them are too big for my nails. The beautiful rose is my favorite one and it's practically huge, even wider than my thumb nail. The key image from the pinkie is from plate BM-301 and the one from the ring finger is from plate BM-310.
I have to say that this manicure was a challenge to photograph because red always looks more orange in my photos compared to reality. I still hope you've enjoyed these nails and you'll also check out the other manicures for today's challenge:
