Monday Blues: Shimmer Polish Jennifer

Hello my lovelies! I really hope this Monday is being kind to you. It's supposed to be rainy over here so I'm probably going to stay in an proofread my thesis. Even if you're at work or at school maybe, I have some gorgeous glitter to cheer you up today. Are you ready?

Shimmer Polish Jennifer over Flormar 423 indoors, artificial light

Jennifer* is made out of tiny light blue glitter mixed with some larger orange, gold and black hexes in a clear base. The colors are softer in this one, so it can be layered over a pastel color for a more delicate look. I however like my manicures more intense so I created this little combo.

I chose a brighter blue (Flormar 423) as a base and did a good 2 coats of Jennifer to make it extra glittery. The polish applied smoothly and there was a good glitter density. A 3rd coat would probably make it completely opaque. One coat of top coat was all it took to make everything nice and smooth.

I really love the subtlety of this glitter. I already have some glitter tip manicures planned with it. If you are interested in the gorgeousness that is Shimmer Polish, you can visit their website or Etsy shop. They ship internationally and also take orders for custom polishes!

Don't you just love how this twinkles? The lovely Yulia over at Vicerimus is also posting about Jennifer today. So if you wanna see a different way to wear it, look for her link in the widget below. There are also other amazing Monday Blues post there so don't miss them!

Have a great week!

  2. Love your mani! It turns out you have a slightly different version of Jennifer then, too, 'cause mine doesn't have black hex glitter. That's even more fun for out readers then as well as for us - to learn there there're such variations between batches of Shimmer :3 No wonder though, since I received my package back in April :D

  5. The gold and orange glitter really looks great on that pale blue! And it has a totally different look than on Vicerimus - both looks really great though! :)

  11. I was wondering that too because I've looked at swatches online and some of them didn't have the black glitter. I wasn't sure but now that you told me that yours doesn't have any, I wrote to Cindy to inquire about it. She told me that she made 2 different versions of Jennifer because she liked it that much. I'm not sure if I should mention that in the post or not.
