Monday Blues: Magical Nails

Hello my lovelies! Today is a very special day for my blog because it's my 2-year blogiversary! Exactly 2 years ago I posted my first manicure on this blog. Over 500 posts later and I'm still enjoying it as much as I first did, if not more. I've learned a lot in these years and I'm very grateful for the amazing people I've met through this experience. Most of all, I'm grateful for YOU, my followers! So today's post is dedicated to all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

What better way to celebrate this special day than a blue manicure? I couldn't wait to use this unicorn image as soon as I received this plate. The plate I'm talking about is NC02 from Nailz Craze, also known as the "Magical" plate. All the images on this plate are nothing short of amazing, but the unicorn is the main reason I ordered it for.

For this manicure I used a base of p2 Up In The Air! from the Color Victim line. It's a beautiful periwinkle polish with just a touch of tiny silver shimmer. Unfortunately the shimmer did not translate in the photos. As much as I love p2 polishes, I have to admit they don't have a very solid quality control. The formula for this polish was amazing (2 coats in the pics), but the brush was just awful and uneven. I had a hard time with application but I'm glad it ended well. To stamp, I used one of my new Kikos from the Mirror collection, namely 623 Blue. This is supposed to be a blue foil but it looks pretty silvery, especially stamped. Either way, it does stamp wonderfully. Finally, I added an accent nail of China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara to make everything extra magical.

I don't know about you, but I love everything about this manicure. The colors are right up my alley and the stamping is so pretty! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other Monday Blues of September below!

Have a great week!

  3. in primul rand, wow! wow! Nuanta de baza e superba, ador aceste nuante de albastru. In al 2-lea rand modelul placutei e bestial, iar oja kiko, chiar daca s-a transpus silver si nu albastru o face sa arate genial, ca de altfel si oja china glaze ( al carui nume il ador :D)♥♥♥

Happy anniversary! The stamping is super cute and I love the colors! I really like how the glitter on the accent nail matches the stamping colors and helps bring out the silver even more :)
