China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara

Hello lovelies! I hope this week is going by faster for you than it is for me! To keep us sane I've got some mind blowing glitter for you today. This one comes from China Glaze's Eye Candy collection from last year. I really don't know how this has eluded me for so long because it's amazing. Take a look!

Lorelei's Tiara brings silver glitter to a whole new level. It is packed (!!) with small silver glitter but it also has a surprise. Blue hex glitter! I always liked how blue and silver go together so this is just perfect. As I mentioned before, the glitter is very dense in this one, which makes it easy to wear as a full coverage manicure. I only applied 2 medium coats for the photos in this post. Of course you can always layer it over another color if you prefer.

I applied this polish over PVA glue and removal was sort of a failure, but that's a story for a different post. I don't know if it was the fault of the base or not, but the glitter dragged, which led to some bald spots. They are not that evident in real life but the macro shots are not very forgiving.

As you would imagine, this glitter is a huge top coat eater. I didn't even try to make it smooth but I think it would need some Gelous (which I don't own) or about 3-4 coats of top coat. I don't mind a little texture with my glitters so I only applied one coat. The only regret I have is the absence of sun on the day I wore it. That's why all my photos are in artificial light. This really is a fabulous glitter and every silver glitter lover out there needs it!

  4. The gold is pretty too but I'm always attracted to silver because it looks better on me. And this one had blue glitter in it so it was clear that I needed it.
