Monday Blues: Nails Inc Connaught Square

Hello my lovelies! I think this is the latest I've ever posted a Monday Blues post in my entire "career" of two years and a half. Work has been kicking my ass lately but better late than never, as I always say. To compensate for my being late, I have some glitter to brighten our mood today. I don't know about you but I really need it. This glitter was given to me by my amazing friend Kinga. She decided that it was sitting uselessly in her collection and it needed a new home. I kindly offered mine so here it is on my nails.

The people over at Nails Inc named this collection Special Effects. They claim that this is a 3D glitter and while I'm not sure it's that 3D, I must admit that it gives quite a nice effect. It consists of blue and purple glitter in a jelly base. I had a similar glitter combo in my collection, namely Accessorize Dream, but that one is a lot more sparse and has smaller blue glitter. I was very happy to see that the purple glitter was quite evident in pictures. The result is very eye catching and elegant at the same time.

The glitter in this polish is pretty dense but since it's smaller I didn't want to use a multitude of coats to get it opaque, So I layered one generous coat of Connaught Square over one coat of p2 Volume Gloss 110 Ocean Lady and they were perfect together. A match made in heaven!

I got a lot of compliments for this manicure and I can totally see why. This glitter is gorgeous! I think I'm gonna try using it for a glitter gradient as well. I'd like to thank Kinga for giving me this beauty and let her know that I owe her a lot for the many amazing polishes that she gave me as gifts. Don't forget that you can check out the rest of the Monday Blues of November by clicking the links below.

Have a great week!
