Hello my lovelies! To those of you celebrating these days, I wish very happy holidays! Can't believe it's already Monday, which means that there's only one week left of my vacation. I know that it seems a lot but time surely flies by when you're having fun. We've been getting a bit of snow here these days and what better way to enjoy it than with a thermal polish. I think the best season for this type of polish is the cold one, because you can play with the different temperatures around you. I also managed to grow my nails a bit, which also helps with emphasizing the thermal effect.

Monday Blues: Creepy Eyes
Hello my lovelies! Happy Halloween! I don't usually celebrate this holiday since there's no real tradition for it in my country. Nobody goes trick-or-treating here, so there's no point in Halloween without candy. But I was in the mood to do some themed nails this year because I haven't done any in ages. I then realized that I have very few Halloween stamping plates, so I didn't have many options. I finally got inspired by the immensely talented Ohmygoshpolish to freehand some creepy eyes. Of course mine aren't as cool as her's because she used a magnetic polish but I still think they came out ok.

Monday Blues: Frozen
Hello my lovelies! After a very relaxing weekend, it's time to face the cold and get to work. It's my last week of work before a long awaited two week holiday. I've been dreaming about that for months! So I really can't wait for this week to be over. To get my mind off work, I will show you some blue nails that remind me of winter. There are two types of manicures I like to do this time of year, Christmassy ones with red and green and blue ones that remind me of snow and frost. This particular one is just that.

Monday Blues: First Snow
Hello my lovelies! I feel like it's been ages since I last wrote a post. My birthday week went by so fast! I had a wonderful few days with friends and presents so I couldn't be more grateful. The only issue is that I'm kinda tired on this Monday. Luckily, I survived work and can now relax for a bit. But first let me show you the manicure I've been wearing for the past few days. It was inspired by the snow we got a week ago. It only lasted for a day and totally got us by surprise, but it was still beautiful.

Monday Blues: Golden Rose Galaxy 12
Hello my lovelies! It's Monday so it's time for some blue. This is the last of the Golden Rose polishes I had to show you and it's also the sparkliest of them all. The Galaxy line is a fairly new one from Golden Rose. It contains lots of glittery textured polishes in all kinds of color combinations. Of course I had to try the blue one as my very first. Here's how it looks.

Golden Rose Rich Color 44
Hello my lovelies and happy Sunday! It's been a Golden Rose week on the blog and it will continue with tomorrow's Monday Blues, but first I have a beautiful green to show you. It comes from the Rich Color collection, which may be my favorite Golden Rose collection because the quality of the polishes reminds me of high end brands. The only downside to this collection is the fact that the polishes don't have names, just numbers. So without further ado, here's number 44.

Golden Rose Holiday 82
Hello my lovelies! It's a lovely spring day over here and it's also time for me to show you a beautiful textured polish. I have a huge collection of this type of polishes in every color, but what I didn't have was a gold one. Not anymore though because this beauty came into my life and completed my collection. It comes from the Holiday line from Golden Rose and looks like this.

Monday Blues: Waterfall Nails
Hello my lovelies! I know I say this every Monday, but this weekend went by too fast. At least I managed to do some nail art and I'm showing you the first look today. I finally decided to create a waterfall nail art because I really wanted to use some nail art polishes that I received from Golden Rose Romania. If you don't know what a waterfall mani is, you should check out this tutorial by The Nailasaurus, who is also the inventor of this look. I'm not very sure if my waterfall nails look like they should but I think it's ok for a first attempt.

Golden Rose Rich Color 41 and Jolly Jewels 101
Hello my lovelies! I'm finally trying to post all the swatches I have on my computer and today I'm starting with some pictures that are over a month old. I have no idea why these remained unpublished until now. I guess there was always something else to write about. Anyway, I have two Golden Rose polishes to show you today. The first one is a lovely creme from the amazing Rich Color collection.

Golden Rose Matte Velvet 105
Hello my lovelies! I finally have a bit more time for blogging and decided to catch up on some posts. These pictures are actually a month old, I just didn't have time to write a post to go with them. This is also a shade that is perfect for winter in my opinion. The finish is suede, which I absolutely love and feel like I haven't shown here in a very long time.

Getting Ready for Christmas: Glitter Overload
Hello my lovelies! It's time for another post from the Getting Ready for Christmas challenge created by Elsa from Like A Candy Shop. I'm going on vacation today so I will take a little break from the challenge until I return. Today's theme is glitter overload, so I decided to do a manicure inspired by Santa's suit. It looks like this.

Golden Rose Carnival 11
Hello my lovelies! It's finally time for me to show you an amazing glitter polish. These swatches were done a couple of weeks ago and I just haven't had the time to write a proper post. The Carnival collection from Golden Rose consists of 16 layering glitters that look amazing. I have a few that I purchased, but the one I'm showing you today was kindly sent to me by Golden Rose Romania. It was one of the shades that caught my attention because I haven't really seen anything like this before. I wasn't sure of how I should layer this to make it look good so I swatched it both over white and black. You can see for yourself which option you like better.
Ro: Buna!

Purple with a Purpose
Hello my lovelies! I hope your week is going great so far. I'm rather busy and don't have a lot of time or patience to write posts, but I managed to do these nails that serve two important purposes. First off, Golden Rose Romania is running a nail art contest on their Facebook page and I couldn't miss it. Secondly, November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, a cause very dear to me, so I had to do at least one purple manicure to support the cause.

Monday Blues: Golden Rose Rich Color 42
Hello my lovelies! I'm very proud of myself because I'm actually writing this post in advance instead of doing it last minute. The blue I'm showing you today is a true beauty. Two weeks ago I showed you some polishes from the Golden Rose Rich Color line and told you how much I loved them. Well naturally I had to get my hands on a few more of these polishes, number 42 being first on the list.

Golden Rose Holiday 73
Hello my lovelies! In today's post I'm gonna try something for the first time: I'm gonna do a bilingual post. I decided to occasionally translate some of my posts in Romanian, but I'm not going to do it for all the posts, just ones that I think would interest my Romanian readers. It's the first time I write in my language and I'm really nervous, but I hope I will be up to the task. The polish I want to show you today is my very first textured polish from Golden Rose. They have a whole line called Holiday, with 31 lovely textured shades. You know how much I love this type of polishes, so I was excited to try the Golden Rose ones.
Ro: Buna tuturor!

Golden Rose Rich Color 34
Hello my lovelies! I have a very fall appropriate polish for you today. I didn't do any new Halloween nail art (besides the one from Monday), but I used a Halloween glitter and that has to count for something, right? First, let's see the main character of this post.

Monday Blues: Golden Rose Rich Color 15 and a Halloween manicure
Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all full of energy to start a new week. And even if you're not, with the winter time change we are technically waking up an hour later, so that's always a plus. The blue I'm showing you today comes from a newer Golden Rose collection named Rich Color. These have been around for months but it's the first time I actually got my hands on some. As usual with Golden Rose polishes they don't have a name, just numbers, which is sort of annoying. But let's take a look at this beauty.

Where In The World Challenge: Germany
Hello my lovelies! I'm finally back with another post in this challenge. I feel so behind on these cause Gosia is already done with the whole challenge. But the beauty of this one is that you can go at your own pace. Hopefully mine will be a faster one in the following weeks. Today we are traveling to Germany. What most of you don't know is that I went to a German school and studied German as a first language even though I'm not of German heritage. I've only been to Germany once or twice, but I did take a language exam before I graduated high school. For the oral part of the exam we had to choose a theme related to Germany and do a presentation about it. I decided to talk about Caspar David Friedrich, a Romantic painter I like a lot. My inspiration for today's mani comes from his work.
The painting I got my inspiration from is called "Greifswald Harbour" and it depicts a beautiful sunset in the harbor of the painter's place of birth. I particularly like how the painter depicts the sky in many of his works. He has a lot of sunset, clouds and fog paintings. One of his most famous paintings is called "The Wanderer above the Mists" (click on the name to see it). I took some photos of my album and of course the credit goes to the painter itself.

Golden Rose 68 and 141
Hello lovelies! How are you today? I must say that this week is not going easy on me and it's only Wednesday. Friday couldn't come quicker! I was planning to post some pink today but my photos were not accurate at all. I need to figure out what to do with them because I'm so not good at editing pink. So instead I'm showing you 2 Golden Rose polishes I got last month. They are from the regular Paris line and so they are from the affordable category. But I do like them a lot. Let's start with the first one.

Golden Rose Paris 141 indoors, artificial light |
141 is a purple creme with very strong blue undertones. If you put it next to a blue it looks purple, but next to a true purple it looks blue. So you can call it a blurple if you prefer the term. I was looking for some purples to add to my collection lately and this one is perfect.
![]() |
Golden Rose Paris 141 indoors, artificial light |
Formula-wise it is more of a crelly, which means that it's opaque like a creme but squishy like a jelly. It applies smoothly and was opaque in 2 coats. A thing I like about the Golden Rose polishes is the thin brush. I personally like these kind of brushes because they give precision. I barely needed any cleanup after I applied these polishes. Drying time is not too bad for these either. They dry fast and to a shiny finish. The photos are without any top coat.

Golden Rose Paris 68 indoors, artificial light |
I've been looking for 68 for a long time and I finally found it. I'm only sorry I haven't found it earlier so I could wear it in the fall. This polish totally cures my lemming for a silver/charcoal shimmer like Chanel Graphite. Of course they are very different, but for me it doesn't matter too much since I only wear polishes like these every once in a while.

68 has a very thin and sheer formula, consisting of a dark grey base with silver shimmer. It needed 3 generous coats to be opaque and it dried fast and shiny. There was a bit of shrinkage with Seche Vite, which I didn't like too much. All in all, I think these polishes are great value for the price and they come in tons of shades. They are great for experimenting and nail art, especially water marbling where you waste a lot of polish and don't wanna use your more expensive ones.

Born Pretty Store Glequins Review and Tutorial
Hello lovelies! Another blue overdose today because I'm gonna show you a couple of nail art looks using glequins* from the Born Pretty Store. Glequins are larger hexagonal glitters that can be placed in certain shapes on the nail, creating fun and sparkly designs. I really wanted to try these and of course I chose some blue ones because you all know I love blue.

Born Pretty Store glequins |
The ones I chose come in individual pots and retail for a little over 2$ a pot. There are 14 colors to choose from, ranging from blue to red to silver or gold. There are even some that have a holographic effect. The pots are quite big and they hold 16g of glitter, so it's safe to say you can never run out of these. I created 2 looks with them to show you how versatile and fun they are. Here's the first one.
This one is all about bling. I know for some people this might be too much, but I personally love nails that are totally in your face. These are fun to wear on a night out or some special occasion.
As a base for this look, I've used Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream. After it dried I used one coat of clear polish to make the nail tacky and placed the glequins one by one with a toothpick. This was very easy to do and I didn't have much trouble despite it being my first time using these. I filmed a video to show you how I did everything. There are also some tips and tricks in the video, so if you wanna find out more you should definitely watch it.
The second look I created is less blingy but still has a good amount of sparkle to it. I used glequins for the accent finger and covered the nail completely with them.
As a base color for this look, I chose a color that is very similar to the color of the glequins, namely Golden Rose 53. I followed the same steps and placed the glequins using a toothpick. Once you get the hang of it, the placement becomes really fast and easy. I really like this look because the ring finger looks like fish scales.
If you like these and the looks you can create with them, you can purchase them here. Don't forget to use code MFL91 at checkout to get a 10% discount from your purchase. The Born Pretty Store also has free international shipping regardless of the value of your purchase.
I really enjoyed playing with these glequins and I can't wait to use them for other designs. They are definitely a fun item to have in your nail art collection.
