Where In The World Challenge: Korea

Hello my lovelies! First of all, please excuse me for the lack of posts in the last days. I've had a rough week and even though I have tons of stuff to show you, I wasn't in the mood to write a blog post. Luckily, everything gets better when the weekend comes, so here I am finally with this post. Usually on Saturdays I try to keep up with the Where In The World Challenge. I'm happy that I've been on track with this one in the last weeks. Today we are traveling to Korea with this colorful manicure.

I must admit that Korea wasn't an easy country. I kept researching until I found pictures of their traditional clothing, called hanbok. I was fascinated by the vivid colors and beautiful fabrics of these dresses. They come in tons of colors so I immediately knew I could do something inspired by them. I only had to find the specific colors, so after I've looked at a lot of them on Google Images, I finally settled for this pink and yellow one.

I find this color combo so fresh and jolly! Not to mention the colors themselves are very bright. The shape of the dress kind of reminded me of a half moon manicure and so I went for that. The sticky paper circles I used as guides were lifting at the edges and so the half moons didn't come out perfect, but I still like this a lot.

The yellow I used as a base is Kiko 355 Canary Yellow and the pink is China Glaze Hang-Ten Toes, a neon that totally freaked my camera out. I wanted to take some photos in the sun but there wasn't any, so instead I have some natural light photos that show the colors quite well.

I hope this manicure brightened your day! To see more Korean themed manicures, check out the links below!
