Monday Blues: Cerulean Chevrons

Hello my lovelies! Whoa, what a week! I've been working like a maniac and then I tried to get some rest during the weekend, so nails and blogging have been on the back burner. I didn't even celebrate the fact that my blog turned 4 last week. Unfortunately I didn't have time to create a special manicure for the occasion. But Monday Blues is always a great occasion to celebrate and every blue manicure is something special for me. So I'll just show you today's nails because they are awesome!

A couple of weeks ago I returned from my vacation in Amsterdam, where I visited a Kiko store and got a lot of goodies. The nail polishes were on sale so I got a few of them because I'm a big fan. The Kiko cremes are my favorites since they have a great formula and come in every color you can imagine. One of the blues I got this time is 295 Cerulean Blue, a lovely bright medium blue creme. I paired it with its neighbor 294 Indigo, an old favorite of mine, to create these nails.

This is very easy to create and doesn't require any skills. All you need are some chevron nail vinyls. I finally got around to ordering some of these from TwinkledT and they were quite easy to use. All I did was alternate the blue polishes on my fingers and used a nail vinyl on each nail to mask the base so I could paint the other color on top. I finished everything with a coat of Seche Vite.

I really like these two blue cremes together. The contrast isn't big but it's enough to make them stand out. I really enjoyed wearing these nails and I hope you like them too. Don't forget to check out the rest of the Monday Blues of September in the links below!

Have a great week!
