Polyvore Collage Day: Holiday Wishlist

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! After a few weeks of absence, Polyvore Collage Day is finally back. And since Christmas is around the corner, this week we had to do a collage with our wishlists. Fun, right? Here's mine!

Holiday Wishlist

The 2 palettes I've included are already ordered, but none of them has arrived yet. They are: NYX The Crimson Amulet Collection (inspired by the movie Dark Shadows) on the left and Stila Snow Angel Color Palette on the right. I still have hope for the Stila one to show up tomorrow, but otherwise I will get them both after Christmas. Then I have included the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil collection. I have a huge wishlist from this collection, but I still haven't ordered them yet, so this is more of an after holiday wish. Cozy sweaters are what winter is all about, so I need a few more to stay warm this season. And then books. I love reading and I love receiving books. So basically, if it's something beauty related or books you are giving me, chances are I will be very happy.

Please stop by the other ladies and see what they have on their wishlists! Happy Holidays!

Polyvore Collage Day: New York Style

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! I have to admit that this week's collage theme was quite a hassle for me. I have no idea what people in New York wear, nor do I know anything about fashion. So my inspiration came from the outfits in the show Mad Men. After all, they do live in New York, even if it takes place 50 years in the past. Here's my result!

New York Style

This dress is very retro, but I think it's something that can be worn today as well. I really like the color and I think it brings a fresh feeling to the whole outfit. I went safe with shoes and bag, choosing some elegant Louboutins and a little black bag. The makeup is by NARS and the nail polish by Chanel. I included Chanel Particuliere and Paradoxal from last year's fall collection because I think they are very stylish, just perfect for a New York girl. What do you think?

Please check out the other collages for today's theme!

Polyvore Collage Day: Favorite Piece of Clothing

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today's collage theme was something fairly easy: Favorite Piece of Clothing. People who know me are aware that I literally live in jeans. They are the only type of pants I wear, and since I rarely wear a skirt, you will always find me wearing one of these babies. I have a lot of pairs and after nail polish, they are the second thing I like to buy excessively (if we ignore my small obsession for eyeliners, of course). So I made this collage to show you some of my favorite types of jeans. Enjoy!

Favorite piece of clothing: jeans

On the left we have the skinny jeans. Most of the jeans I wear these days are skinny. I love darker washes and I also love grey jeans. On the right there are some fun bright colored pairs. I looked everywhere for some turquoise jeans this summer but all the ones I found were not looking good on me. But be sure that I will resume my search next summer! Then there are some classic bootcut jeans. I still like to wear these sometimes because they are so comfy. And they make me feel like a cowboy! For me they will never go out of style. Finally, in the middle we have the hottest thing around: printed jeans. I usually don't like them, but I found this awesome galaxy pair that is totally dreamy!

Hope you liked my collage! Don't forget to check out what the other participants' favorite pieces of clothing are!

Polyvore Collage Day: Romantic

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today's collage theme is Romantic. I must admit that I had no clue what to do with it. I'm not a girly person and a romantic outfit is just out of my comfort zone. So I went with nail polish, of course. These are all somehow related to the words romance or romantic.

Romantic

From Deborah Lippmann we have My Romance (the pretty soft pink on the left) and Bad Romance (black with fuchsia glitter, of which Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is a dupe). Between them is Essence Time for Romance, the most gorgeous pinkish glitter in a jelly base. Zoya had a Romantic collection once, from which I chose Lola, a bright pink shimmer. I think a lot of you have heard of Orly's Cool Romance collection from this spring. My favorite from that one if Jealous, Much?, a soft minty green. Finally, I could not leave out China Glaze's Romantique collection (very good for stamping, by the way). The polish I included is Adore, a beautiful turquoise metallic/foil. So you see, this collage has something for everyone, whether you are into soft pretty shades, fun bright ones or you are a vampy shade lover.

Polyvore Collage Day: Most Comfortable

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday!  This week's collage theme is a very easy one. I wanted this theme to be chosen so I could show my "uniform" for school and regular daily activities. I'm not into fashion and I don't like to dress up, so my daily outfits are what I'm most comfortable with. I'm sorry if this collage looks boring to you. I'm not a very interesting person, I admit.

Most comfortable

The most important element here are the skinny jeans. I live in jeans, whether it's summer of winter. I have a lot of them because I wear them constantly. Now that it's fall, I pair the jeans with sweaters and a black coat that sinches at the waist. I wear boots during the cold season and these military style boots are very similar to some I bought a couple of weeks ago. The bag is also very similar to the huge one I'm carrying at the moment. I posted a picture of it on Instagram here. I keep my makeup pretty simple with neutral colors and a good black mascara. I'm currently loving the MUA Undressed Palette and the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Show Off mascara. Finally, my nails are always different but blue is my favorite color. And China Glaze First Mate is my favorite polish of all time!

Hope you liked my collage! Take a look at the other ones for today!

Polyvore Collage Day: Favorite Trend

Hello my lovelies and happy Sunday! Today's Polyvore Collage Day theme is Favorite Trend. I must admit that I didn't like this theme at all. I'm not really into fashion and I don't follow trends. I usually just go shopping and buy what I like and I wear what I like regardless of how out of style it is. So I postponed doing this until this morning, when I finally started googling "fall trends 2012" to get some ideas. And then it hit me. Leather is definitely in style right now and I love leather. So here's what I came up with.

Favorite trend: Leather

It all started from this smashing royal blue leather skirt. Then I found some matching shoes. And my outfit was ready. I kept it simple with the top and the bag. I couldn't resist not adding Nails Inc Baker Street to this set. If you hate being too matchy matchy, you can use Basil Street (the nude) and just do an accent nail of Baker Street. Finally I added some subtle bow earrings for a little bling. Hope you like!

Check out the other lovely collages from today!

Polyvore Collage Day: Lace

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Today's Polyvore Collage Day theme is "Lace"! I was excited about it because I really love lace. I tried to create an outfit around a top that is similar to one I own. I like to wear this top with a pair of faux leather pants similar to the ones below. The rest of the stuff I added to complete the look.

Lace

I chose the cobalt blue booties to add a pop of color to this outfit. I love this color but I could never wear them because the heels are definitely too high for me. The owl earrings and the purse are perfect for this rocker chic look. Finally I included the Sally Hansen Salon Effects strips in Laced Up. They are great if you want a lace look on your nails without the effort. It's also possible to achieve this with stamping and I told you all about it in this post

I hope you like my collage and don't forget to stop by the other ladies participating in Polyvore Collage Day!

Polyvore Collage Day: The Definition of Chic

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! The first post of today is my contribution to the 4th Polyvore Collage Day. Today's theme was "The Definition of Chic", so I picked a few random things that are chic in my book. This is not necessarily an outfit, although some of these things go very well together.

The Definition of Chic

So we have the classic little black dress, some pearl earrings, a red lipstick, a Chanel perfume, some nude Louboutin pumps and some nail polishes. I chose two polishes that are very very elegant in my opinion. They are Essie Cocktail Bling and a-england Guinevere (click on the names to see my swatches).

That's it for today's collage. Please check out the other collages for today's theme!

Polyvore Collage Day: Black and Gold

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! This week's theme for the Polyvore Collage Day was Black and Gold, so I decided to do a nail polish related collage again. I have fun doing outfit collages but nails are what I do best and this is a nail blog after all. So I decided to stay in my comfort zone and picked some black and gold polishes that I like or downright love. Let's see what I chose!

Black and Gold

On the left side of the collage there are 2 black polishes with a little something extra, that you can wear on their own. Butter London The Black Knight is one of my biggest lemmings. It has a black base filled with pink and blue glitter and gives you that galaxy nail look without doing any nail art. Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is one of my favorite polishes of all time. The black base makes the fuchsia glitter stand out and the result is so sexy.

Then, on the right side of my collage, we have a couple of gold polishes that are truly gorgeous by themselves. Barry M Gold Foil has a perfect formula (I believe it's opaque in one coat) and is great for stamping too. In the bottom right corner I added Orly Rage, a rose gold polish that is currently on its way to me. My skin tone needs a cooler toned gold and I hope this one will look good on me.

In the middle of the collage there are 2 black and gold combo possibilities. As a base I chose China Glaze Liquid Leather, my go-to black creme. It has a great formula, is very opaque and is also great for stamping. Over it you can layer a gold glitter, like Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow, but a lot of brands have them so it really depends on what you can find and what is in your budget. A new trend this fall are the 18K gold top coats. I personally wouldn't spend the crazy amounts of money that are charged for these polishes, but a lot of people like them so I included this one from Zoya called Gilty. I think it would look amazing over black (it actually comes in a set with a white and a black polish).

If you made it this far with my blabber, thank you so much for reading and please check out the other collages from this week.

Polyvore Collage Day: Favorite Character From a TV Show

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! It's time for another Polyvore collage! I must admit that I do enjoy making these although fashion is not my thing and it takes quite some time for me to find everything I want to put in a collage. I hope I have time to do these kinds of posts every week. This Sunday's theme is "Favorite Character From a TV Show". People who know me are aware of the fact that I watch a lot of TV shows. Some even think I'm a little crazy for following so many. And one of my favorite shows of all time is Bones. I love Emily Deschanel, so I chose her character, Temperance Brennan, as an inspiration for this collage.

Temperance Brennan inspired outfit

I think Temperance would totally rock this outfit. The skinny jeans and the boots are a must for her character! She often wears a trench coat and I chose a red one for a pop of color. Another must for her character is the ethnic jewelry, so I included this lovely necklace by Christian Lacroix. She keeps her makeup simple with an earth toned smokey eye and nude lips. I could not leave out the nail polish and since I've never seen her wear color on her nails, I chose this nude from Nails Inc, called Basil Street. I love this outfit and I could totally wear all this stuff myself! Of course you are supposed to take these items as a general guideline because the total cost of all this stuff is way over any budget ever imagined.

Check out these other collages for today's theme!

Polyvore Collage Day: Autumn nail trends

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! I have an exciting post for you today! My friend Joanna over at The Treasure Chest had the idea of reuniting beauty and fashion bloggers through this thing called Polyvore Collage Day. We have a theme every week and each of us creates a collage with whatever fits the theme and posts it on Sunday. If you want to find out next week's theme and join in the fun head over to Joanna's blog for details. This week's theme is Autumn and since mine is a nail blog, I created a collage with some of my picks for fall.

Autumn nail polish
Top row L-R: China Glaze First Mate, Deborah Lippmann Superstar, OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow
Bottom row L-R: China Glaze Swanky Silk, Nails Inc Spitalfields Fishnet Magnetic, Essie Lacy Not Racy
Here's a little breakdown of the collage:

  • China Glaze First Mate: I could not leave out my favorite polish of all times from this season's picks. This glossy navy creme is a perfect match for that warm brown and copper clothing.
  • Deborah Lippmann Superstar: It's copper and it's glitter! A great way to have the autumn leaves' colors on your nails.
  • OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow: I swatched this a few days ago and you can see the post here. Vampy colors are a must for my nails in the cold season!
  • China Glaze Swanky Silk: The New Bohemian collection combines the metallic trend with a duochrome effect. If you are looking for a neutral with a twist, this is your polish!
  • Nails Inc Spitalfields Fishnet Magnetic: The best way to have an edgy design on your nails without any effort is magnetic polish. This emerald green shade is just perfect for this season.
  • Essie Lacy Not Racy: Oxblood! The hottest color of this season. With this staple color and Essie's top notch formula you can never go wrong!

Thank you so much for reading and please check out the other collages of this week!

Fun Sunday: nail polish jewelry

Hello loves and happy Sunday! I haven't done a Fun Sunday in a while now and that's mainly because I find it hard to come up with something interesting every week. But this week I'm really excited to show you what I've been doing in my free time (well besides nails obviously) for the last few weeks. I've seen this done on a few blogs and wanted to try it. A month or so ago I finally found a Romanian supplier that had what I needed, so I got to work. I won't write a tutorial just because there are already good ones out there and I just followed them. This one from Rebecca likes nails and this one by Chalkboard Nails are great.

From left to right: Max Factor Fantasy Fire and W7 Metallic Jupiter
I started with these 8 mm stud earrings but I soon found out that they are too small and the effect on them is not that noticeable in real life. I still love how they look but now I bought 10 mm cabochons to make bigger studs.

The cabochons after painting: Max Factor Fantasy Fire and W7 Metallic Jupiter
I also got some bigger cabochons and some ring bases to make rings. The rings are much more noticeable and I got a lot of compliments for them.

China Glaze Atlantis
Orly Fowl Play
The ones above are 16 mm cabochons and they are a little flatter. I then found a seller that had bigger and more round ones. Those really have a magnifying glass effect to them.

Orly Androgynie (20 mm)
Revlon Whimsical (18 mm)
And my latest creation, of which I'm very proud of.

NYX Carnival and Essie Cocktail Bling (18 mm)
I hope you liked my jewelry and may your Sunday be filled with fun and rest!

Fun Sunday: my perfume collection

Hello my beauties and happy Sunday! Today's post is all about perfumes. I'm not a big perfume lover and by no means a true collector. I don't buy them for myself so everything I have has been gifted to me at some point. My collection is very small. I have a few cheap ones that I didn't even photograph. Excuse the bad lighting in the photos. I live in a loft and I don't have a proper place where the light hits directly. I'm also not very good at describing perfumes but I thought some of you might have fun seeing these. Here we go!

Carolina Herrera 212 On Ice

I received this for Christmas so you might have seen it before on my blog. It's a very fresh, floral and citrusy (is that even a word?) perfume. It's perfect for a spring or summer day. I recently discovered that floral scents are my favorites. The packaging of this looks like an ice cube and I thought it was very cool so I kept it.

Paco Rabanne Black XS

This is a little different from what I'm used to. It's very sweet and fruity, but has some floral notes too. It also has a bit of vanilla scent mixed in. I think this is more of a winter scent and I don't wear it too much. The bottle is so so beautiful!

Cerruti 1881

Every girl needs something classic in their collection. This has a more powdery smell compared to my other perfumes. It reminds me of Chanel without it being old-lady like. I think I'm gonna use this a lot this spring.

Calvin Klein Obsession Night

An old favorite! I've had this for a while and you can see I'm almost out of the EDT. This came in a set with a small bottle of EDP and a lotion. Since I'm not a big fan of the roll-on applicator, I didn't use much of the EDP so I still have a lot of it (it only has 10 ml). Another citrus and floral scent, this makes me think of hot summer nights. The name is perfect!

Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue

I've saved the best for last! This is the newest addition to my collection and what inspired this post. This is the floweriest scent ever invented and I'm just loving it so much. This must be what Audrey Hepburn would wear. It will sure be my absolute favorite this spring!

I hope you liked this post and I'm curious to know, what is your favorite perfume? I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Fun Sunday: 11 questions tag

Hello loves! I've been tagged by two lovely bloggers to do this tag. I thought it would be fun to answer these questions because each blogger does their own questions so you end up answering different ones each time. I'm gonna tweak the rules a bit. I'm supposed to write 11 things about myself, but I already wrote 7 things here and here, so that's a total of 14. I also won't tag anybody. I'm not sure people like to be tagged in these things, so instead I'll just answer the two sets of questions. Ok, here it goes!

I Bleed Polish's questions:

1. If you can go on a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go? South America!
2. What is your favorite color? It used to be red but now it's a tie between red and blue.
3. What is your #1 favorite nail polish brand & you HAVE to pick one! :) China Glaze forever!
4. How did you come up with the name for your blog? Well I just thought about it for a few days and it came up!
5. What are your top 3 favorite nail polish colors? Of course my favorite is blue! Then minty green and purple I guess.
6. What is your favorite food that you can eat everyday? Cheese :)
7. What is your favorite Disney movie? Haven't thought about this a lot. I'm gonna say Alice in Wonderland.
8. If you were stuck on a deserted island what 3 things would you need besides necessities like food & water? Books, nail polish and some kind of computer that charges from the sun. That's quite clever, I know!
9. Do you prefer writing in script or print? Script when I want to write fast (like in class) and print if I want it to look nice.
10. If you can meet a celebrity who is dead who would it be? Patrick Swayze
11. If you were able to star in a cartoon one day which cartoon would you pick to be in? American Dad

Kelly's (Polish Entusiast) questions:

1.What is your favorite thing about painting your nails? Having a perfect, shiny result and fun colors.
2.Are you a big fan of Konad art? Why? I recently became addicted to stamping. I love that you can do so many designs you wouldn't be able to do otherwise and in such a short time.
3.Do you change your polish every day? No. Mostly every 2 or 3 days.
4.What is your favorite kind of polish?( holo, glitter, crome, pastel, jelly, etc) Man this is hard. I will go with glitter.
5.Do you like longer or shorter nails? Shorties are the best!
6.What would you like to see more of from polish companies? Flakies!
7.What is your favorite season? Spring.
8.What is your favorite food? I really can't say because I like so many. Steak, fried chicken and pizza are between my favorites, along with chocolate and cake.
9.What do you like to do when its nice outside? Take a walk trough my neighborhood or in the park.
10.What is your new years resolution? I didn't make any. I guess trying to spend more of my time doing stuff I love doing.
11.Where is your favorite vacation spot? Italy.

Thank you so much girls for tagging me! I hope you all have a great Sunday!

Fun Sunday: YouTube

Hello loves! Fun Sunday is back! This week I want to talk about YouTube. Now I'm sure you all watch music videos and whatnot on there, but my favorites are nail videos. I love to watch tutorials to find inspiration and learn new techniques. I have a bunch of channels that I love and I check everyday to see if they posted new videos. So I though I would share them with you. If you know of other awesome channels that I didn't list, feel free to leave me a comment and I'll be sure to check them out. I also added a few of my favorite makeup gurus.

General nail art

  • cutepolish - This might be the most famous nail art channel on YouTube. Her tutorials are easy, well explained and her voice is so soothing. And of course the designs are so cute!
  • Creativenailart - A European channel! This talented girl from Holland has amazing nails and does the best designs on them!
  • IHaveACupcake - Another famous channel with cute and easy designs. These tutorials are always so fun to watch!
  • TotallyCoolNails - She always comes up with the greatest ideas for nail art. Her designs are very original!
  • IndigoNova1 - Again, we have a very original nail artist here! You must check this channel out!
  • Pixie Polish - Cute short nails and a toothpick. This is all you need to create amazing nail art!
  • LuvableNails - A fresh channel with breathtaking freehand nail art.

Stamping nail art

  • soguesswhat11 - The ladies who are into stamping regard her as the ultimate stamping guru on YouTube. She has lots of tutorials and has reviewed pretty much every plate set available.
  • DandyNails - I listed her in the stamping section but she also has freehand nail art tutorials, hauls and reviews. I found this channel 2-3 weeks ago and had so much fun watching almost all of her videos.
  • PlasmaSpeedo - She recently made a tutorial for stamping using acrylics. She is also the author of the awesome "Sh*t Nail Polish Addicts Say" video.
Makeup gurus

  • DulceCandy87 - Her videos always cheer me up. I love her fashion and makeup hauls! And we're exactly the same age too!

I hope you will check some of these out! Have a fun and relaxing Sunday!

Fun Sunday: Adventures In Stamping

Hi. I'm back! So for this week's Fun Sunday it's all about nails! Some of you might have heard that there's a group on Facebook called Adventures In Stamping and some of you might even be in it. For those who don't know about it, it's an awesome community of ladies that are into stamping nail art and every week has a theme or a challenge. Everybody posts their themed mani on Sunday and then we can enjoy all the great photos and comment on them. If you are into stamping and are interested, you can check it out here.

This week's theme was an all-blue stamping manicure. It's my first week in this group and what better way to start it than having my favorite color as a theme. I used Essie Coat Azure as a base color and did the stamping with my trusty China Glaze First Mate. Seriously this polish is amazing! It's so pigmented and great for stamping. I used my Born Pretty plate m73 for this design.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. It looks much better in person and I don't know why it didn't photograph properly. One thing I've learned since I've started this blog is that nail art is so much harder to photograph than plain colored nails. Maybe some of you reading this have some tips to share. Please comment below!

This was the first time I was able to do a full stamping mani without messing it up. It's still not perfect, but it looks pretty good to me. I also managed to stamp twice on my wide thumb nail without doing a big mess. I have to thank this amazing group on Facebook because I've learned so much from them. It's also a big motivation to have a theme and do a design every week. I'm so glad I joined! I wish you all a very fun and awesome Sunday!

Fun Sunday: The Versatile Blogger Award

Hello loves and happy Sunday to you all! First, a little rant. Next week is gonna be very busy because I have a really hard exam and so little time to study. I have a lot of pictures to edit but no time to do it. So I'm gonna do something that I haven't done before, take a longer blogging break. I'm gonna be done on Friday, so don't expect a new post until then. Hope you will forgive me!

I was nominated for this award by 3 lovely bloggers. You can check out their blogs yourself  here: I Bleed PolishPsycho Nails and Lacquer or Leave Her!. I'm very honored and thankful that they thought of me! The reason I've been postponing this post is the fact that I have to write 7 random things about myself (again) and I'm not very good at that. Even while I'm writing this introduction, I have no idea what I'm gonna say about myself. Oh well...

1.I drive a blue Citroen C3. It's a small car, but so easy to drive and I love it!
2.I'm kind of a morning person. Well, I'm not one of those who wake up at 6 am, but I function better in the morning. I hate it when I have classes in the afternoon and studying at night just doesn't work for me.
3.I have a very good visual memory and that's what I rely on when studying.
4.I'm really bad at remembering numbers. The only way I can remember them is by visualizing them written (visual memory again).
5.I'm always early when I have to be somewhere at a certain time. I hate being on the rush and I love taking my time to do stuff properly.
6.I live in the attic of my house. It's a very large room and I have a lot of privacy, which I love.
7.I used to love playing computer games but now I don't have time to do it anymore. I envy the people who have a lot of free time.

That's it. Hope I didn't bore you too much. I was supposed to pass this to 15 other bloggers, but since I'm the last one to do this tag, I'm sure everybody has got this by now. If you haven't, please feel free to do it. I hope you all have a nice and fun Sunday!

Fun Sunday: Kreativ Blogger Award

Hello and happy new year! It's the first day of 2012 and it's also a Sunday. So what better way to start the year than a fun post and a tag. I received this award from Marisa over at Polish Obsession. Thank you very much for tagging me, I feel really flattered!

The rules are:
  • Link back to the person who gave you this award
  • Complete the form below
  • Award 10 other blogs and let them know in a comment or email
  • Share 7 random thoughts about yourself

The form

1. NAME YOUR FAVORITE SONG:
I have a lot of them. Most people know that my favorite is Eagles' "Hotel California" , so I'm gonna go with that one.

2. NAME YOUR FAVORITE DESSERT:
It's really hard to chose because I love pretty much everything. Chocolate cake is what I chose for my birthday dessert, so it must be my favorite.

3. WHAT TICKS ME OFF:
When people don't listen to what I say or interrupt me. I really try to respect what others are saying and always pay attention, so I hate it when other people don't.

4. WHEN I'M UPSET I:
Don't like to talk to anyone, hate it when people call me and make me be rude to them.

5. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PET:
I am, hands down, a dog person. I have only had dogs as pets my whole life and I can't imagine not having any.

6. BLACK OR WHITE:
I prefer black because I think it goes better with my skin tone. But I do like white nail polish.

7. BIGGEST FEAR:
Being old and not being able to take care of myself.

8. EVERYDAY ATTITUDE:
I always tell myself to take it easy, but I end up caring about all the stupid stuff.

9. WHAT IS PERFECTION:
A day spent with somebody you love, doing whatever. A summer night sky. And neatly manicured nails, of course.

10. GUILTY PLEASURE:
Watching shows like 90210. But I don't really feel guilty about it.

7 random thoughts about myself:

  • My biggest pet peeve are chipped nails. I can't stand walking around with chips and I usually either patch them or remove my polish. It makes me wanna scream when I see girls walking around with polish on only half their nail. I would say something, but I don't wanna be rude.
  • I love South-American authors like Garcia-Marquez, Vargas Llosa or Ernesto Sabato. I also love The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. I haven't read any Twilight or such and don't intend to.
  • As some of you might have noticed, I'm left handed. So most of my pictures are of my right hand because it always looks better.
  • I like everything to be planned ahead. That's why I usually have a few posts prepared or at least a few pictures ready for my next post.
  • I love watching American TV shows. My favorites at the moment are Bones, Big Band Theory and Once Upon a Time.
  • I was in a German school and I also speak Italian and a bit of Spanish (besides English of course). Sadly, I didn't manage to learn French although I've tried a few times.
  • I'm kind of a computer geek. But don't tell anyone.

And my award goes to...

Rebecca @ Pandora's Nails
Katy @ Nailed It

I'll make sure to notify everybody after I return from my trip. Have a happy new year, everybody!

Fun Sunday: Merry Christmas!

Hello loves! Just a quick post today to wish you all a happy and peaceful Christmas. I have no doubt that this is a fun Sunday for everyone. Enjoy the holiday season and the moments you get to spend with your loved ones!

This is a picture of the small tree from my room. Some of my stuffed animals live beside it, including my holiday penguin and my singing pig that has reindeer antlers for the season. I wanted to show you the big tree in the living room, but I couldn't get a good picture, so you'll have to settle for this one.

To all my followers and the people that have been supporting this blog from the beginning, I want to give special thanks. I cherish each and every one of you!

To all those reading this, may this season bring you the peace and rest that you deserve. Let it be a time of joy and happiness and let us forget all the sadness, even if it's just for a while. I leave you with one of my favorite Christmas songs (original version by the great Stevie Wonder).

Merry Christmas!

Fun Sunday: another nail tag

Hello lovelies and happy Sunday! Sorry for slacking off again from last week's post. I wasn't really in the mood for posting last week end. Today I have another nail tag. It's been almost 2 months since I did this nail tag and now I have been tagged by Rachel-Karina from Polished Criminails to do another one. Some questions are similar to the first one, but that way you can see what has changed (polish count especially). So let's begin!

Here are the rules
1.  Answer 10 questions
2.  Pass this tag to 5 bloggers
3.  Make sure that the bloggers you tagged know about this.

1. How many polishes do you have?

I have hit the 75 mark now. That means I've acquired 20 from my last tag. Not that bad for two months.

2. What is your favorite brand of nail polish?

Of course it's China Glaze. I'm a true fan girl!

3. Do you like crackle nail polish, or do you hate it?

I used to like it more, but now I'm kinda over it. But hate is pretty harsh. I would still wear it from time to time.

4. What is your first nail polish brand?

My first polish was a Maybelline. But the first brand I had more of is S-he Stylezone.

5. If you're going to have a nail polish line, what are you gonna name it?

Not sure if Lacquer Buzz would be a proper name. Would have to think really hard about this. It took me some time to come up with the name for my blog too.

6. What nail polish color does not compliment you?

I don't like how gold and copper shades look on me. Luckily, I don't really like those colors either.

7. What color does compliment you?

Blue is my top color. I would say darker colors look best on my skin tone.

8. Name two of your best nail art friends.

I don't have any. The people I'm friends with aren't into nail art.

9. What was the best nail polish gift you have ever received?

It was, hands down, Revlon Facets of Fuchsia. It was actually a giveaway win, but I love it to pieces and can't imagine not having it in my collection.

10. Make a speech about thanking the blogger who tagged you.

Thank you Rachel! It is actually the first time someone tags me specifically. I'm flattered that I was one of your top five choices!

Now for the five bloggers I'm tagging, I think I'll go with those ladies that read my posts all the time and comment  constantly. Here they are:

Esther @ Fab Fingertips
Boarbb @ Bottles of dreams
Julie @ Turtlechick's Nails N Tales
Marisa @ Polish Obsession

Yeah, I've cheated a bit. I've tagged only 4 bloggers. I didn't want to tag anyone that doesn't want to be tagged. If you wanna do this tag, don't mind the rules, just do it! Also, stay tuned because I have another post in store for you today! Have a great Sunday!
