Polish Days: Geometry

Hello my lovelies! It's time for another Polish Days! This month's theme is inspired by the start of the school year. School doesn't start in Romania for another 2 weeks, and there's almost a month left until university starts, so I guess we are still enjoying our vacation. But since it's September everybody is thinking about the beginning of fall. So this month's theme is: geometry!

If you know my blog you might know that I love geometrical stamping. However, I really wanted to do something original for this post, so I went with free hand. The colors I chose are kinda summery, but I did this in August so you will forgive me.

The base color of this mani is NYC Lexington Yellow, which I posted about a few days ago. I really like the combo of yellow and blue, but I decided to go with teal instead of blue this time. This is Color Club Gossip Column, a very pigmented dark teal creme.

I used a thin nail art brush for these designs. My lines aren't very crisp, but it's ok. I prefer practicing my free hand instead of being safe and sticking with the stamping.

I still did some stamping on my left (dominant) hand using the same Gossip Column and plate CH13. It didn't come out that well because despite this color being very pigmented it's also thin, so it smudged on some fingers. To make it better I used some INM Northern Lights top coat because holo glitter can save any manicure. Here's the result.

Make sure you check out the other Polish Days posts from these lovely ladies:

  2. Your freehand skills are enviable. I can't quite decide which one I like better, both are so fantastic.
